Poor Baby...

Hi all. We don't have any cute pics to post this time around, but thought we should update you all on the latest in the Davis household. Bryant has officially had his first bad cold, if I can even call it that. He has been coughing and had a runny nose for about 6 weeks now and at his last visit to the doctor they said not to worry about it sometimes these little guys take a while to kick a cold. A few days ago, however, the cold escalated to a rattling in his chest, a really bad cough, fever and inability to keep any food down because of the coughing. I took him into the doctor on Friday night and they said he has Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) which is apparently very common in babies. There isn't really anything they can do for him, with the exception of baby Tylenol for the fever. I was told RSV can last up to 15 days, but it is the worse at day 5 which I think we have surpassed, so hopefully we are through the hard part. They told me to watch for a continued fever or difficulty breathing because this virus can easily turn into pneumonia or bronchitis, but thankfully I think we are past that.
It is so sad to see my sweet little guy so sick. He doesn't want to eat and is very restless and most of the time just wants to be held. For the past several nights, he wakes up often and it seems to be mostly due to the coughing. We have had to forgo our cereal ritual and weekly swimming trips while Bryant works on getting better. Hopefully for our next posting we will have some pictures of a happy, healthy baby!!
Spring is definitely upon us in Sisters. Jeremy's business is off and running and we can already tell that Summer is going to be quite busy. He currently has two employees, and will likely be adding an additional employee before the Summer kicks off. He has moved his office into a place in town with his brother-in-law Mike (a local contractor) and Garrett (a friend from church). It is really nice for him to have a place where he can go and work without the frequent interruptions of home-life (ie me doing laundry, taking showers, Bryant smiling or crying both are of equal distraction for different reasons!!) :-)
I am participating in a new Mom's brunch every other Tuesday with ladies from our church and I am really enjoying getting to know other stay-at-home Mom's in town. All of our babies are very close together and hopefully will be playmates some day.
Well, that about covers it for now. We hope you are all well. Until next time - Amy

Oh the things I remember from the baby stages and the things I can't forget :)

Babies are like wine, they do get better with age

Hope you and your family enjoy the Spring in Sisters. Weather is getting gorgeous.
